Hey, is there anyone who knows recent medical breakthroughs?how close are they to a cure?

i heard from from my dad that they are working on a vaccine similar to the one for hpv. they are having trouble separating the virus proteins from the blood. i think there was an article about it an issue of Scientific America. i really wish they would come up with a cure for . right now there are meds to treat it.
