Working on a Pokemon Double Battle team, need help with strategy.?

I like the current idea although when playing in competitive double battles you can also do stuff like helping hand or even follow me pokemon that stop the opponent from attacking something you are setting up. Also in double battlers protect should be on a majority of your pokemon to avoid attacks like earthquake and stop and people from double teaming. I should also tell you about a slacking idea where you can nullify it with gastro acid or even skill swap it way then use skill swap to make another pokemon have that horrid ability. Also you can pych up stat increases like belly drum to all your team. Also with any team rapid spinner and a heal bell/aromatherapy. I am just throwing out a few ideas you have to make it up most on your own.
