Stephen King's: Misery Info?

Well, it's about an author who is kidnapped by his number one fan, who is also a psychopath. The number one fan then tries to kill the author. I don't think anything that tragic has ever happened to Stephen King, but maybe he chose to have the main character, Paul, be an author because Stephen King himself is an author (obiously).
