Briggs and Stratton 5hp?

Working on a 1971 B&S engine and having a hard time figuring out how the carb springs hook-up and just how exactly the governor functions in conjunction with the carb springs. The governor y. is bolted to the magneto and seems to be powered by the air created by the fins in the flywheel. Could someone please help. Pictures would be great, but if not, a good ol' "This is how you do it speech" would work too. Thanks in advance.
