Help I have something in my throat..?

I've had this pain since about 8 or so and its 2 a.m right now, it feels like i have a big apple stuck on the side of my throat. I think its a ball of spit and phlegm because i feel my throat where it hurts and it makes squishing noises and i feel something moving around. I've tried disloging it by pushing it down and i cough up spit but pure white spit not phlegm. What can i do i can't go to sleep because it hurts when i lay down..
