On sims 2 for the PC can your sim own a hotel or apartment?

I have sims 2 for the pc along with sims2 open for business, sims 2 bon Vogue, and sims2 apartment life. I was wondering if your sim could own a hotel or apartment and make money off of it. if so, how do you do it?
